With its well established trees, rocky stream and well-tended grounds and facilities, Waihi Motor Camp is a haven of peace in a rushed world. Located off the main road moments from Waihi township the Camp is free of traffic noise and easy to get to.  

Ideal as a base for the Karangahake Gorge just up the road, or for playing the Waihi Golf Course, a pleasantly green and playable course that’s one of golf’s best kept secrets. Waihi Beach, is only 10 minutes or so to the east. A collection of tame animals, sheep, lambs, small pigs, assorted chickens and ducks are an unusual feature of the property. You are free to walk among them and even take part in feeding them. Animals are fenced off from the accommodation sites.

 
Gloria took over Waihi Motor Camp at the end of 2003, and have given it a complete facelift and upgrade. On top of that, she has years of experience looking after holiday- makers and travellers. Gloria has an extensive background in cabin and customer service with Air New Zealand.
